Penelope Ann Trepagnier passed away peacefully, at home surrounded by family and friends, on Friday, May 11, 2018, at the age of 62. She was born October 20, 1955, in Baton Rouge, La, to Joseph Trepagnier and Audrey Taylor Trepagnier. She was known to everyone as “Penny”. Penny is survived by two sisters, Danielle Trepagnier and Drusella T. Beaudoin; nephew, Brandon Beaudoin; niece Mignonne B. Morrell (Todd); and two great-nephews, Maximillian and Dysen Morrell. Penny worked at Bell South (AT&T), where she created many lasting friendships. She chose early retirement to move back to Baton Rouge (from New Orleans). Penny decided to start her second career with the American Legion, and worked for them until her illness required that she retire at the end of 2017. Penny had a passion for family, friends, and fun. She never met a stranger, and always had a smile on her face. The numbers of her friends, and the length of those friendships is testament to personality. She would, literally, give you the shirt off her back. She cared enormously, gave selflessly, and loved deeply. The word ‘no’ did not seem to exist in her vocabulary. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Saturday, May 19, 2018, from 11:00 AM until the time of funeral service at 2:00 PM. Burial will immediately follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. Family and friends may sign the online guestbook or leave a personal note to the family at www.greenoaksfunerals.com.
