Jessie Mae Behannon 84, of Lumberton, passed away on Saturday May 12, 2018 in Beaumont. She was born in Woodville, Texas, on June 26, 1933 to her parents Jesse and Annie Richardson Hyde who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband Willie Behannon, son: Roy Behannon and granddaughter: Cara Behannon.
She is survived by her three sons: Jimmy Behannon and wife Melinda of Lumberton, Mark Behannon and wife Lona of Jasper, Johnny Behannon of Jacksonville, Florida, four daughters: Patricia Morrison and husband Lee of Brookhaven, Mississippi, Ruby Behannon of Beaumont, Belinda Hinson and husband Lionel of Fannett, Judy Sattler of Beaumont, brothers: John “Bubba” Hyde of Silsbee, Richard Hyde of Livingston, sisters: Mary Elizabeth Lindsey of Lumberton, Carolyn Macon and husband Joe of Silsbee, Betty Gandy and husband Don of Osceola, Indiana, fourteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
Jessie was a member of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed being an outstanding homemaker for her family. She also enjoyed gardening, fishing, and especially being around her grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family stated that you could always count on a card from her for all occasions especially birthdays.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 15, 2018 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with a Celebration of Life graveside service to follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
