Eric was a graduate of Deering High School, class of 1974. He was a proud recipient of the Student-Athlete Award at graduation, in recognition of his four years of dedicated service as manager for three seasons of varsity sports.
Eric was a graduate of the University of Rhode Island, with a Bachelor of Science in the School of Pharmacy; and the University of Utah with a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Kinetics.
Dr. Eric Mack's career has been at schools of pharmacy, including: University of Houston, Loma Linda University, and most recently, University of California, Sacramento. He was dedicated to the success of his students, and the professionalization of careers in pharmacy.
Dr. Eric Mack was a synagogue board member and active volunteer at Congregation Etz Hadar in Redlands, where he led weekly Torah study sessions, and was honored as Man of the Year in 2010.
He is survived by his sister, Rabbi Paula Mack Drill.
He was a cherished brother-in-law to Jonathan Drill; and beloved uncle to Noah and Rochelle Drill, Sarah and Sagi Fainshtain, Ben Drill and Josh Drill.
Friends and family are invited to attend a graveside service on Sunday May 13, 2018 at 2:45PM with Rabbi Carolyn Braun in the Temple Beth El Memorial Park 1 Johnson Road Portland, Maine.
