On January 14th 1990, Rodney married his junior high friend and love of his life Diane Henry Williamson. Rodney quickly became the father he didn't have to be to Diane's two daughters Lauren and Lindsey. In 1992, they had a son of their own, Landon.
Rodney graduated from Catholic High School here in Little Rock in 1975. He held numerous different jobs throughout his career but for Rodney his real job was to provide for his family. He always wanted to be surrounded by people and the outdoors. You could often find Rodney camping, fishing, scuba diving, playing pool, barbecuing with family and friends, or listening to the same song on repeat. Rodney never met a stranger and made sure everyone around him had a smile on their face. In December 2010, while trying to help with a friends dog, Rodney fell and broke his C4, this left him a quadriplegic and confined to a bed. This did not change his passion for life, his love of being surrounded by family, animals, the great outdoors or listening to the same song on repeat.
He is survived by his wife, Diane; son Landon; daughters Lindsey Clements and Lauren Halbert(Philip Halbert); grandchildren: Haley, Hayden, and Hudson; sister Stacey Williamson Little; Step-Mom Jan Williamson; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Carol and Pete.
The family invites you to join them and celebrate the life of Rodbo Friday May 18th at 3pm. They will be having a BBQ with music, just like he wanted it, at Maumelle Park (9009 Pinnacle Valley Rd Little Rock 72223) Pavilion #1. There will also be a burial service at 11am on Friday at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, Arkansas. Memorial donations may be made to the Arkansas Spinal Cord Commission.
