Frankie Nell Cameron, a native of Lake City, South Carolina was born and raised in the Cameron town Community, Florence County, South Carolina. Frankie is the daughter of the late Maude Daniels’ Cameron and Joseph Cameron. She attended Bethel grammar school, Lake City High School and Morris College in Sumter South Carolina.
Frankie accepted Christ as her personal savior at the early age of fourteen where she was baptized and joined the New Zion Baptist Church and served under the leadership of the Reverend W.C. McCray as the Sunday School department, choir and usher board.
In the late 1950’s, Frankie relocated to Englewood, New Jersey and was joined in holy matrimony to the late Willie C. Cameron. After this union, Frankie and Willie moved to Bridgeport, Connecticut where Frankie joined East End Baptist Church in 1961, under the leadership of Reverend James D. Peters. Over the next forty- seven years, Frankie held many positions within several church ministries to include, President, Vice President and Chaplin for the Senior Usher board. Frankie was also served as the assistant supervisor of the junior ushers and fellowshipped with the State of Connecticut United Ushers, Fairfield County Branch.
Frankie relocated to Houston TX, in 2007 where she lived until her passing on May 12, 2018. Frankie is predeceased by three brothers and one sister, Joseph Carli, James “Bubba”, George Cameron and Jettie Mae Baker.
Frankie leaves to mourn, daughter Glynis Cameron Robinson, son-in-law Russell Robinson, one granddaughter, Taylor Symone Robinson (Nana love you), three sisters, Jane Washington (Lance*), Harrie Maude Graham (Rev. Gadson*) and Maltonia Barr (Willie C). Two sister- in-laws, Mabel Cameron and Veola Triva Wilcox, one brother in law, Italy Baker and a host of relative and friends.
