Jim grew up in Lincoln. In 1944 he headed to Europe with the Army to fight in WWII, decorated for the Battle of the Bulge he returned in 1946, to marry the love of his life Rosemarie Brown. Jim worked for Western Paper Company after the war, then joined Schwarz Paper Company where he worked until his retirement. Jim was very devoted to his faith in God, and a member of the Methodist Community all his life. Jim, loved playing Golf, hunting pheasants, and was a part of many bowling leagues over the years. Mostly he loved spending time with his family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Jim will be remembered by, his daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Dennis Zimmerman, Overland Park, KS and son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Kristal Millstead, Lincoln NE; granddaughter and spouse, Stacy and Jim Redus, Olathe, KS, grandson and spouse, Ryan and Jacque Zimmerman, Lenexa, KS and granddaughter, Tara K Millstead, Lincoln NE; five great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life Service Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 10:00am Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S. 14th Street Lincoln, NE. A private family interment was held.
