Wm. Roger Morgan passed on the morning of May 16th at home with his family in Lincoln after a long fight with Cancer.
Roger was proud to be from Kentucky and Nebraska. He was a graduate of the University of Nebraska and a Husker fan. He lived life fully and passionately whether through his years in the Air Force, his photography career or in the water ski show where he met and then married his wife Beverly more than 50 years ago.
He had many stories he shared about adventures on his extensive travels or his times spent with Bev and friends sailing, out riding their Harley, dancing or hunting. He'd say what a great shot he was, but we all know it was the time shared walking the fields with those close to him that he truly cherished.
Images continue to flow through our mind of these memories shared and others that contain what was, what is and what will continue to be. Sadness ensues but smiles prevail, some with tears and some not, but all make the fabric Roger quilted together that includes not only the segments of his life but of all ours who shared it with him. We've all been gifted the time, stories, humor, adventures and love he so passionately shared.
The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all the friends, doctors, nurses and special people who surrounded him.
He is survived by his relatives, as well as all who met and have cared for him within his close community of friends. Each was considered family. He loved and cared deeply for all.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the ASPCA through their website. (www.aspca.org) The Celebration of life will be 5 - 8 p.m. Friday, June 8, at the Pla Mor Ballroom, 6600 W O St., Lincoln, NE 68528
