Max Brown, born Douglas Max Brown born March 9, 1946 to Douglas Ray Brown and Wanda Arlene Burk Walt. He passed away on May 15, 2018 at Oak lawn Hospital in Marshall, Michigan from an extended illness. On July 10, 1976, he married Mary Ann Hobbs in Homer, Michigan; he was a devoted husband.
Max is survived by his wife Mary Brown; brother John (Lisa) Brown of OH; sisters Deloris Scherrer of MI, Marsha Brown of FL, Peggy Brown of FL, Gail Johnly of OH, Janice (Randy) Horner, KY; and many
nieces and nephews. His parents, brothers Ronnie Brown of FL, Darrell Brown of KY and a sister Carol Brown of OH, preceded him in death.
Max lived all of his life in or near Albion. As a young man, he worked in several gas stations in Albion. At the age of 19, he opened his own Enco-Station in Albion; he also worked at Corning Glass and Brooks Foundry. He worked for Hayes Lemmerz in Homer for 24 years; he also was a Police Sargent in Homer for 7 years. He enjoyed motorcycles, racing his “Z-28 Express”, 69 Camaro in the 70’s, building and working on cars. He also enjoyed going to car shows with his “It’s kind of an orange color” 69 Camaro. Working around his home and yard, golfing with the people and hanging out in his garage with whoever was there.
He had many wonderful friends and always there to help when they needed it. Many will truly miss him.

Visitation for family and friends will be Saturday, June 2, 2018 from 11:00AM – 1:00PM at
J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, MI 49224. Memorial Service will be
Saturday, June 2 at 1:00PM at the funeral home with Pastor Earl Martin officiating.
