George was born on July 2nd, 1927 to Virginia and Richard Frick of Sewickley, Pennsylvania.
He attended the Brooks School for four years before joining the Navy. He was part of the Aerial Gunner School and was an airplane mechanic. Upon return, George attended Princeton University.
In 1952, he married Marian Crawford Rodgers who first saw him when he was 17 and she was 15 years old. They spent thirty of their sixty-five years in Westwood, Massachusetts where they raised their four children-Thomas, Julia, Lucile, and George Jr. George worked primarily in the fiberglass business and started the Henry and Frick Company which specialized in small boats.
Upon retirement, George and Marian split their time between Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts and Delray Beach, Florida. Besides being an avid golfer, his other interests included tennis, sailing, history and tinkering with his antique Porsche. Marian and George spent many summers in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts surrounded by their ever-growing family.
He is survived by his wife, their four children, nine grandchildren and one great-grandson.
The service will be on Thursday May 31st at the First Church in Chestnut Hill on Suffolk Road at 11am. Reception to follow.
