Debra Ann Kaiser, who at 68 years old, passed away peacefully at Riverside Community Hospital on June 4th 2018. She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Ken Kaiser and her two daughters, Jessica Lentini and Rachel Kaiser. She was preceeded in death by her father Milan A. (Bud) Easton, her mother El Miren (June) Epson Easton and her older brother Steven Easton.
Although she was born in Cottage Hospital, a small hospital in Fullerton California, she grew up in Brea California. She was a second generation Brea resident, her mother was also raised in Brea (Jessica also went to school in Brea, all three went to Brea Junior High). She was always an athletic person, as a child she loved swimming at the Brea community pool called “ The Plunge”. She would spend most of her summer days there. (Like most of us she is the product of “free range parenting”). In highschool, she was on the cheerleading squad and was in the homecoming court. She was an avid hiker and runner, running five miles on most days. After finishing high school she worked as a bank teller locally, deciding to move to Flagstaff to have a more outdoor lifestyle a few years later. While in Flagstaff she had two of her most important life experiences, giving birth to her first child Jessica and completing her master's degree at the University of Northern Arizona. After completing her studies in psychology and chemical abuse treatment she worked for a year as a kindergarten teacher. She then embarked on her career passion, chemical abuse treatment, initially as a clinician then as a college professor. She really was loved by her colleagues and her students.
Deb's focus was always on caring for her family. She was a caretaker for both her parents and for her brother, donating stem cells and even moving to Seattle for six months to take care of him. These experiences helped her to understand the grieving process and she was able to help many people through their own grief. She taught her daughters through example what it means to be a strong, self sufficient, and compassionate woman. We believe she is the glue that holds our family together. She has the best smile and the most sparkling eyes. I could not have asked for a better life partner.
We miss her dearly.
