Lena Kidder Lanclos, born May 13, 1933 was a retired cosmetologist of 58 years, owner and operator of Lena Hair, Skin, and Nails. A selflessly devoted servant of the Lord, Lena was a lifetime member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. Lena passionately served as an Adorer for 35 years, a Sacristan, Catholic Daughters of Americas, serving as President, and honored as Daughter of the Year in 1990. Always taking care of the sick and needy, making her famous cherry cheesecake and all her specialties to help others in their time of need. Lena went to be with the Lord at 5:00 Am, Tuesday, June 5, 2018. She was a native of Arnaudville, LA and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Lee Lanclos; and son, Philip Louis Lanclos; two brothers, and one sister. She is survived by two daughters, Clotilde Lanclos Taylor (Kenneth) and Catherine Lanclos Salario (Faron); one son, Robert John Lanclos (Cori); daughter-in-law, Virginia Lanclos; sister,Elise Brasseaux and brother, Eric Kidder; 15 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren, plus one on the way. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Friday, June 8, 2018 from 5pm- 8pm, continuing on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church at 9am until service time at 11am. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
