Emile L Baudoin d’Ajoux was the son of the late Orphelia “Whit” and Nita LeBlanc Baudoin. Emile was born in Maurice, Louisiana and was married to Francoise Charlotte Roudil d’Ajoux. Emile and Francoise enjoyed 62 beautiful years together traveling the world and the United States in selfless service to God and country.
Emile is a 1969 Vietnam Veteran with a 23-year career; distinguished by a Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (2nd Award) and Air Force Commendation medal. Emile retired as Chief Warrant Officer 3 (CW03) to Lafayette, LA in 1975. They relocated to Tallahassee in 1983 where Emile worked for the State of Florida supporting Francoise as one of Tallahassee’s known teacher and artist. For the last 10 years they continued to serve our community together as volunteers with Big Bend Hospice and Tallahassee Memorial Hospital as well as active parishioners at St. Thomas More Catholic church for the last 38 years.
Emile is survived by 4 sons; all of whom have followed his lead by proudly serving our country within the finest branches of the United States Marine Corps, Army, Navy, and National Guard. His legacy will remain strong in the lives of his sons, their wives, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; Ludovic & Brandy of Jacksonville, FL, Thierry & Paula of Tallahassee, FL, Gabriel & Linette of Carencro, LA, and Frederick & Kelly Baudoin d’Ajoux of Tallahassee, FL. Emile was preceded in death by his sister, Lorena B. Landry and brother Camille Axie Baudoin, both of Maurice, LA and survived by one sister, Lorita B. (Harold) Broussard of Lafayette, LA. Emile leaves his family with resplendent memories of a life fully lived. in lieu of flowers, make donations to Trinity Catholic School or to St. Thomas More Catholic Church, both in Tallahassee, Florida.
Memorial Service Mass will be held at the Co-Cathedral of St. Thomas More; 900 W. Tennessee St, Tallahassee, Florida 32304 on June 22, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. followed by Military Honors at the Tallahassee National Cemetery; 5015 Apalachee Parkway, Tallahassee, FL. 32311 at 12:00 p.m.
