Born in Worcester, MA on September 17, 1925, she spent many happy years in a loving family. She was married to Eugene Johnson for 50 years, who predeceased her by 18 years.
She received a Master’s degree in Social Work from Simmons College, which was a highly esteemed accomplishment. As a travel agent, she had the opportunity to travel around the world, particularly enjoying Prague, Hong Kong, Bali and the Norwegian Fjords.
Lois was active in the Orchard Cove community, serving as the director of the movie committee, participating in their book club and playing bridge at an expert level. She also loved art, gardening and tennis.
She was the loving mother of Martha Hertzberg, sister of David and Marilyn Talman, grandmother to Anne and Emily Hertzberg, and great grandmother of Madison Hertzberg-Forknall, and Luke and Max Kirstein.
Funeral services and interment will be private.
