Aurora “Boris” Delgado Rubio passed away peacefully at home in El Paso, TX on June 7, 2018. She was 85. Aurora was born December 15, 1932 in Chihuahua Mexico to Bonifacio and Delfina Delgado. She graduated from Hospital San Vicente as a Registered Nurse. She worked in El Paso Texas at Saint Joseph’s Maternity, Hotel Dieu Hospital in the delivery room for 30 years, Clinica La Fe, Providence Hospital, Sun Towers providing diabetes education, Lighthouse for the Blind, the Diabetes Association, and Remcon Headstart, as the school nurse. Aurora was devoted to her family and is survived by her husband of 60 years, Martin Rubio, her daughter Rose Elena Rubio, grandchildren Andres and Eliana Grijalva, son Martin Rubio Jr(Jennifer Titley-Rubio), grandchildren Martin A Rubio and Isabelle E Rubio, son Octavio Rubio and son Roberto Daniel Rubio(Bebette Rubio), grandchildren Roberto M Rubio(Alejandra Rubio), great-grandchild Alejandro Rubio, grandchild Daniel A Rubio(Heather Rubio), great- granddaughter Sydney, grandchild Victor A Rubio(Breanna Highwood), great-grandchild Victor Rubio, and her surviving brothers Hector Delgado and Luis Delgado.
She was a beautiful daughter, caring sister, devoted wife, nurturing mother, and an always fun –loving grandmother. Her love of caring for people brought her passion to the nursing profession where she worked in labor and delivery. She will be remembered for her enjoyment of singing and dancing, her amazing cooking, her infectious laughter, and her joy of life. She will be dearly missed by many and will always be in our hearts.
Visitation will be from 5:00-9:00 p.m., with Rosary at 7:00 p.m., Monday, June 11, at Kaster-Maxon & Futrell Funeral Home, 8817 Dyer Street. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 2709 Alabama Street. Committal will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery at 11:15 a.m.
