Benjamin Cuttitta passed away suddenly on June 9, 2018 at age 90. Ben was born January 9, 1928, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Margaret and Frederico Cuttitta. Ben raised his family in Stamford, Connecticut, and spent the last several years in Monroe Connecticut. He worked for many years as a Metallurgy Technician for Pitney Bowes. Ben had a passion for tennis, golf, politics, Toastmasters, and the New York Mets. His greatest pride came from his family. Ben was the beloved and devoted husband of the late Carol Cuttitta. His sisters, Nina Nicoletti, Marie Cuttitta, and Anna Naveja preceded Ben in death. Ben is survived by his children, Carol Ann Viebrock (George), and Frederick Cuttitta (Elayne), his grandchildren, Rachael, Emma and Nicholas Cuttitta and Sarah and Georgie Viebrock. His brother Fred also survives Ben as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive visitors on Saturday, June 16 from 9:00-10:30 at The Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher and Son Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike (Route 111) Monroe, CT 06468. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St Stephen’s Church 6948 Main Street Trumbull, CT 06611.
