It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of this truly amazing man. He was a devoted and loving husband, dad, grandpa, great grandpa, brother and uncle. On June 8, 2018, Jim suffered a heart attack and passed away.
Jim was born on September 21, 1957, in Middletown, Ohio the son of Earl and Ann Carpenter. He was a beloved brother to Joyce Brewer, Larry Carpenter and Rick Carpenter.
Jim worked as a Computer Technician at Arrow Electronics.
In 1978, while serving his country at Fort Carson Army Base in Colorado Springs, CO he met and fell in love with his wife and best friend Jane Carpenter. He was a compassionate loving husband, devoted dad and role model to his four children and the best dang papaw to his seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Jim’s favorite place on earth was fishing on any body of water with his best friend and wife Jane beside him and a cooler filled with cold Pepsi and bologna sandwiches. We hope he is someplace where the bigmouth bass are always biting, the Pepsi is always cold and the sun never stops shining.
Jim is survived by wife Jane Carpenter of Scottsdale, AZ his kids Lisa Long (husband Loran) of Bonner Springs, KS, Terrye Iannetta, Brian Gallegos (wife Yolanda) and Stephanie Leeser (husband Danny) of Phoenix, AZ, his grandkids Genevieve Vicary (husband Ryan), Angel Catania (fiancée Nathan), TJ Catania (fiancée Kaitlyn) of Kansas, Monique Quintana, Courtney Ponthieux, Isabella Iannetta and John Iannetta III of Arizona, his great grandkids Bekham Getman, Alessandra Vicary, Atticus Culp of Kansas, Jacob Mesa and Matthew Flores of Arizona, his sister Joyce Brewer (husband Gary) of Florida and brother Rick Carpenter (wife Linda) of Ohio as well as many loving nieces & nephews.
