James T. Caudle, age 90, passed away on June 9, 2018, at a local care center. He retired from Colorado Springs Utilities in 1982 after 20 years of service. James was born February 29, 1928 on the family farm in Mt. Vernon, TX. He attended North Texas Agricultural College on a football scholarship in 1948 and 1949. James joined the army in 1950 and was stationed at Camp Carson, Colorado Springs, CO. He married Betty L. Hardwick on Oct. 2, 1952 in Colorado Springs.
James was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years. He is survived by a daughter Nancy (Kenneth) Schreck, two grandchildren, James Schreck and Laura (Russell) Lewellen and three great grandchildren, Russell, Kyle and Sebastian.
A Celebration of Life is planned for Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Pikes Peak United Methodist Church, 2927 W. Pikes Peak Ave. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, 1000 S. 26th St. Colorado Springs, CO.
Memorial gifts to Pikes Peak United Methodist church are welcomed in lieu of flowers.
