Thomas E. Earp, age 85, of Tuscaloosa, died June 9, 2018, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at Heritage Chapel Funeral Home with Jerry Lake officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ida Earp; father, Eugene Earp; brother, Eugene F. Earp; and son, David Alan Earp.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Carol Earp of Tuscaloosa, Ala. and sister, Faye Hyde of Birmingham, Ala.
Tommy was a graduate of Fairfield High School in Fairfield, Ala. and The University of Southern Mississippi.
He served in the United States Navy aboard the U.S.S. Mount Olympus during the Korean War.
Tommy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tuscaloosa and the Marcum Sunday school class.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Evans, David Cheatwood, Eric Hoaglund, Joe Rice and David Wray.
Honorary pallbearers are the Milton Marcum Sunday school class, Dr. Ross Vaughn and Hospice of West Alabama.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to First Baptist Church of Tuscaloosa or Hospice of West Alabama.
