A thoughtful and generous Eric Ross Davenport was born November 17, 1954 to Leonard Davenport (father) and Shirley Donaldson (mother). Eric was a lifelong resident of Bloomington California where he attended the local schools and graduated from Bloomington High School in 1972. Eric was an avid reader and had a great love for nature, people horses, and animals of all kind. He enjoyed days in the wilderness chaperoning and mentoring young men as a Cub Scout Leader. His love for music, producing, singing, and playing the guitar, topped the list of his many interest. He had a uniquely bright and pointed sense of humor, was full of knowledge, and was not shy in regards to expressing his opinion or thoughts. Though appearing brutally honest sometimes, he never left you doubting or wondering what was on his mind. Eric was a hard worker, and in his early years he worked alongside his uncle in construction. Moving on, he worked many years as a masterpiece pizza maker at Porky’s Pizza in the local community, until his health began to fail him. A song, a tall tale, and a cheery spirit accompanied him in the workplace and wherever he frequented. It continued even on his sick bed. Eric will be greatly missed. He leaves behind to celebrate his life: His mother Shirley Donaldson of Fontana California, father Leonard Davenport of San Bernardino, brother Derek Davenport (Doranita), sister Kito Bridges all of San Bernardino, Ca, and sister Tina Todd of Rancho, Cucamonga, Ca, a former sister-n-law Loyce Davenport of Rialto, Ca. One nephew Brent (Rashayne) of Redlands, Ca. and one niece Breana Davenport of San Bernardino, Ca. and a host of beloved, loyal and dedicated friends, neighbors, and acquaintances. A special thank you to the entire tireless staff at Citrus Convalescent.
