She was born March 27, 1924 in Blue Point, NY to William and Dela (Arnett) Friedel. She first married William Lee Hoak on Aug. 8, 1948 in Peoria. He passed away Sep. 1, 1951 in New York. She later married Francis Allison, Sr on Nov. 1, 1952 in Peoria. He passed away June 8, 2004 in Morton. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and one sister.
Survivors include one daughter, Dorothy (Robert) Knisley of Washington, two sons: Francis (Lynne) Allison, Jr of Peoria, W. Max (Pam) Allison of East Peoria, seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, and one brother, Richard Friedel of Nevada.
Hazel was a Homemaker, and a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church in Peoria. While at church she was active in the Women’s Society and the Harvester Class on Sundays. She was also a member of the Peoria Fraternal Order of the Eagles.
Funeral services will be Friday, June 15, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services. Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria is in charge of arrangements.
Burial will be in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens in Peoria.
Memorials may be made to the Loaves and Fish program at the First United Methodist Church in Peoria or the Northern Tazewell Fire and Rescue.
