Kyle Monroe of Westbrook, CT, born February 4, 1959 in Kansas City, MO, passed away on June 20, 2018, with family by his side. Kyle loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren, and he had a nickname for everyone. He was also an avid fisherman, loved music, playing his guitar, and watching the Kansas City Chiefs. He was a heavy equipment operator by trade for over 30 years. Kyle had love for animals, especially his cat Penna. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend Rose of 37 years, his three daughters Jen Gallegos (Andy), Julie Monroe (Roger), and Jill Monroe (Matt), his beloved grandchildren Kimmy Burhans, Maverick Monroe, Gus Gallegos, his mother Edwina Tyler Monroe, of Arizona, his sister Kathy Brancheau (Don) of California, his brother Kent Monroe (Laura) of Florida, his mother-in-law Joan Gorneau (Ed), and many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was predeceased by his father Robert D. Monroe, and his father-in-law Salvatore Guarnaccia. We would like to thank Middlesex Hospice for all their caring support. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 25, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. directly in St. Mark's Church, 222 McVeagh Rd., Westbrook, CT 0698. Interment will immediately follow in Resurrection Cemetery in Westbrook, CT. In lieu of flowers those who so desire may donate in Kyle’s memory to the Faustman Lab at Mass General, the American Cancer Society, or the charity of your choice.
