Wanda Gaddy Howell, 79, died Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at the Spring Park Assisted Living in Travelers Rest, SC. She was born in Greenville the daughter of the late Jasper and Polly Barkshadt Gaddy. Mrs. Howell worked for the State of South Carolina for many years and enjoyed cross stitch, woodworking and hand crafts.
She is survived by her daughter, Tina Clayton and her husband, Barry K. Clayton, Sr. of Travelers Rest, SC. Two brothers, William G. (Billy) Gaines, Jr. and his wife Bobbie Gaines and Dick Holcombe all of Greenville, SC. Four sisters, Rita Pace of Taylors, SC, Carolyn Phillips of Gaffney, SC, Barbara Gregory of Taylors, SC, and Sylvia Gregory of Greenville, SC. She is also survived by four grandchildren, James Patrick Clayton and Erin Elizabeth Clayton of Travelers Rest, SC and Jennifer J. Clayton and Barry J. Clayton both of New York. Also surviving is a special cousin, Fran Tipton. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Tabernacle Baptist Church Children’s Home.
