Ed was an Army veteran who served during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was a member of Pea Ridge Free Will Baptist Church. Ed worked in appliance maintenance before beginning a career with Glad Products, where he retired after 25 years.
Ed’s survivors include his wife, Alta; children, Tim Barnard and wife Angela of Rogers, Wendy Jones and husband Mike of Rogers; grandchildren, Emily Audlehelm, Corby Shumate, Kaden Barnard, Healing Reyne Barnard, Zadok Barnard; great-grandchildren, Will Audlehelm, Easton Shumate; and brothers, Gene and Reese Barnard.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and by siblings, Laveda Simmons, Hazel Murphy, and Ford, Dolan, Junior, and JW Barnard.
All are invited to visit with the family from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 1 at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 at Rollins on Sunday. There will be no public viewing. Graveside services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday in Shiloh Cemetery in Newton County, Ark.
