Superloop Figueroa was a pioneer in Tejano music in the DFW Metroplex. He was instrumental in bringing Tejano music to the DFW Airwaves and for keeping Tejano music alive. His career spanned decades but most will remember him as part of the Tejano music personality duo with Simon the Diamond Molina on KNON FM. He went on to be Program Director at spanish radio station KICK FM in the 80's, once again bringing the Tejano flavor to the Airwaves of DFW. Guadalupe Figueroa also owned one of the first record stores to carry Tejano music in the Dallas area. He transitioned to Online Radio as a Tejano Radio personality on "Tejano to the Bone" and continued to support the Tejano music industry to the end. Superloop mentored many and supported many Tejano bands throughout their musical careers and many have credited him with some of their success in the early days.
Everyone remembers Guadalupe "Superloop" Figueroa for his contribution to the Tejano music industry as a Radio DJ and businessowner, but his children will remember him as a Loving Father who loved his Tejano people and his Tejano music.
