Dennis W. Anthony passed away the morning of July 1, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was born in Spokane, Washington, to Clay MacKenzie Anthony and Jerrico Judith Kildare. He attended Rogers High School and earned degrees from North Idaho College, Eastern Washington State College and Whitworth College. Coming from humble beginnings, he had great empathy for others in need and often remarked how blessed he felt with the life he was given. He strove to work hard and play hard and loved the Lord. He was a teacher and vice principal by vocation. Even after retirement he sought to educate those he came into contact with. He had a soft spot for animals and rescued many during his lifetime including circus monkeys, a coyote and a skunk.
He was a member of the Gideons and the Friendship Force. He loved to ride motorcycles, race his jet boat on Priest Lake, canoe at the lake cabin, play golf and softball with his friends, dance jigs to Scottish music and travel the world.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Violet Kathleen, daughter, Barbara Cochrane and her husband, Chris Cochrane, and grandchildren, Ashley M. Niewiarowski (Joseph), Amanda N. Wong (Bradley), and Allyson N. Cochrane.
