Charles served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He retired as Manager of Locomotive Maintenance for the Georgia Railroad in 1983. He was a member of St. Peters Episcopal Church in Fernandina Beach. He was a proud Mason and Shriner, belonging to Arlington Lodge 23 in Jacksonville, Yaarab Shrine in Atlanta, GA and Royal Order of Jesters.
Charles was the beloved husband of the late Winifred Horn. He is survived by his loving daughter, Judy(Randolph) Le Baron; grandson, Christopher Le Baron; great granddaughter, Ariana Le Baron and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 9 from 5-7 p.m. in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin where Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 10 at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow in Riverside Memorial Park.
Memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals.
