Geraldine Lawson, age 72, of Mooresburg, went to her eternal home to be with her Savior on July 9, 2018. Geraldine was born in Hancock County on March 14, 1946, grew up in Bean Station and married Dean Lawson on July 20, 1963 in Morristown. She was saved at an early age at Valley View Baptist Church and was an active member of Adriel Baptist Church in Bean Station, where she had faithfully served and worshipped for over 30 years. Preceding her in death were her mother and father, Ollie Bowlin Mills and Fred Mills of Bean Station; and brothers, Darce Mills of Lithia Springs, Georgia and Wayne Mills of Morristown.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Dean Lawson of Mooresburg; daughter, daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Randy Turley of Rutledge; sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Tama Lawson of Allen, Texas, Steve and Misty Lawson of Morristown, Stacey and Traci Lawson of Rutledge; beloved grandchildren, Casey Lambdin and husband Travis of Jefferson City, Philip Turley of New York, New York, Kaylee Crawley and husband Drew of Louisville, Kentucky, Ryan Lawson of Rutledge, Aryn, Caleb and Dylan Lawson of Allen, Texas, Jacob Lawson of Morristown; brothers, Lowell (Janice) Mills, Carl (Connie) Mills of Morristown; sisters-in-law, Annette McGinnis and Wilma Barnard; along with countless cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home on Thursday, July 12, 2018 from 5 – 7:00 p.m. Funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Tim Collins and Rev. Kenny Boling officiating. Family and friends will meet at 12:45 p.m. on Friday in Hamblen Memory Gardens for a 1:00 p.m. graveside service.
