John Lee Rone was the fourth child born to the parentage of Le' Anna Curry and Lawrence Rone on the 8th day of July 1939 in Magnolia, Arkansas. As a child, he attended Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. He left his hometown at the age of 14 to reside in Dallas, Texas and immediately started work with Henry C. Beck. He later joined Facility Construction Services where he devoted 54 years of dedicated service. John Lee was married to Verline "Dute" Knight on December 7, 1959 for 51 years. To this union two children were born, Carry Deon Rone (son) and Tamira Kaye Rone (daughter). He was preceded in death by his mother, Le' Anna Curry; father, Lawrence Rone; wife, Verline Knight; son, Carry Rone; two sisters and four brothers. John Lee was a faithful member of God's Praise Missionary Baptist Church. He leaves to cherish his memory daughter, Tamira Rone (Willie); three grandchildren, Terrence Rone, Gregory Watts and Carrah Rone; two sisters, Emma Lee and Willie Pearl; two brothers, Joe Willie and Earnest Lee; great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
