Memorial services were held on Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl.
Jo Carol was born October 12, 1942, in Leake County, a daughter of the late Ben and Annie Cook.
Jo Carol retired from the MS State Health Dept. after more than 20 years of faithful service. She was very active with the Pearl Senior Center and participated in many of the activities and events held there. She was also a member of McLaurin Heights Baptist Church in Pearl, and served for many years as precinct manager for voter polling at McLaurin Heights United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Barbara McCrory and Paula McManus.
Survivors include daughters, Renee Statham (Scott), and Suzy McCollough (Dr. Kenny McCollough); son, Charlie Parkerson (Nancy); brother, Tim Cook; sisters, Patricia Russell (Jerry), and Cathy Dodd (Danny); grandchildren, Addie Young, Myles McCollough, and Ryan Parkerson; and great-granddaughter, Ella Beth Young.
