Cheri Louise (Knauss) Jameson, 52, of Fairview Park, died July 8, 2018. She is survived by her husband and soulmate Keith; son Ian, of whom she was so deeply proud and whom she loved beyond words; forever-loving and supportive parents Ray and Jane Knauss, sister and lifelong best friend Julie Garcia (John, the wild brother-in-law); sister-in-law Lorraine Jameson and brother-in-law Peter Lindstrom of Carrollton, Texas, who are always good for great conversation, a fun visit and an exceptional culinary experience; beloved niece to Ross and Eileen Campbell; and many cousins whom she loved and cared about.
Born March 11, 1966, in Attleboro, Massachusetts, Cheri graduated from the University of Akron with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in design. Cheri’s career might have taken twists and turns into sales and entrepreneurship — but she remained forever an artist at heart. She loved colors and design, expressions through song and modern dance, the life and vibrancy of Impressionistic works, the personal growth from reading. Spiritual discovery was her passion.
She was dedicated to her health, redesigning her lifestyle and completing a sprint triathlon in 2008, as well as being an avid bicyclist and crossfitter. But her real love was nature — spending countless hours walking, biking and simply soaking in the beauty and peace of the Cleveland MetroParks.
Her second home was the refuge she found at her sister and brother-in-law’s cabin in West Virginia, a place of respite where she recharged her batteries and found contentment and peace.

Donations made in Cheri’s memory will be used for trees and plantings in Rocky River Reservation.
When asked how she did it — how she faced her challenges and the finality of what was approaching — she read an inspirational quote she kept close at hand: “It’s not what happens to you … it’s how you handle what happens to you that matters.” She handled her life and its challenges with strength, wisdom, perseverance, grace, beauty and dignity. She was a light for us all. Our angel is now free, at peace and at rest.
