He was born July 24, 2013 in Pekin to Javelyn Dozard and John Bankes, Jr.
Survivors include his father John of Bartonville, mother, Javelyn McGrane of Peoria, four brothers: Tatum, Talon, Zane, Rowen, maternal grandparents: Cindy Price of Peoria, Rick (Joy) Dozard of Bartonville, Dave Hittle of Peoria, paternal grandparents: John Bankes, Sr of Bartonville, Dawn Robinson of East Peoria, maternal great-grandfather, Chuck Rapp, paternal great-grandmother, Elaine Bankes of Bartonville, and numerous aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by a maternal great-grandmother, Darlene Rapp a paternal great-grandfather, Kenneth Bankes and a great-grandfather, James Lane, Sr.
John loved helping his grandpa Dave with his Harley and helping his dad and John Sr on their ’67 cutlass which they shared. He loved music, especially “KISS” and his favorite song was “Lumberjack” by Jackyl. He liked it loud! If John didn’t know something he would ask 101 questions till he got the answer he wanted. He also liked to ride his big wheel and have water balloon and silly string matches with his brothers and friend he called Shorty Turkey. His favorite movies were Hotel Transylvania, Jurassic Park, Scooby Doo and Batman.
Funeral services will be Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Visitation will be two hours prior to the services on Saturday.
Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria.
