He was born on May 14, 1942 in Pulanglupa, Las Piñas to Leon and Petronila Bautista and was the eldest of their eleven children.
When he was 24 years old, Butch enlisted for the U.S. Navy in 1966 and was stationed in Maryland, Virginia, Japan, and California. In 1982, he returned to Las Piñas to marry his wife, Teresita Delos Santos Bautista. Butch became a U.S. citizen in 1987 before settling with his wife at the home they bought in Vallejo, CA in 1989. He retired from the Navy in 1989 and found employment with the U.S. Postal Service until 2016 when he retired from the workforce.
Butch found enjoyment watching Tagalog shows, basketball, and football. He also liked gardening and had an abundant garden in his backyard that bore various food and herbs such as avocado, calamansi, rosemary, and stevia.
Preceding him in death are his parents: Leon and Petronila; his brother: Rolando; and his sisters: Alicia and Eva. He is survived by his wife: Tess; his siblings: Danny, Been, Alicia, Sonia, Rod, Edna, and Boyet; his children: Micc and Ricc; and his grandchildren: Haley, Armani, Macie, Zaden, and Carson.
