On July 20, 2018, Ruby Geiger entered through the Gates of Heaven to take her place at the foot of God’s throne. Ruby will be missed by her family and her many friends. She was one of twelve children, born August 8, 1940 to Clint and Edith DeVore. At the age of 17, Ruby moved to Colorado where she later married Milton Holman. She gave birth to 5 children, Richard, Gordon, Brett, Robin, and Jeff. She then re-married in 1980 to Alfred Geiger. Ruby spent most of her adult life in and around the Colorado Springs area. She had a love for the Black Forest, and was the owner-operator of the Black Forest Store for many years. She was a woman of profound strength and love, and had many friends and family who will miss her dearly.
Ruby was preceded in death, by her parents, Clint and Edith DeVore; siblings, George, Bill, Everett, Bonnie, and Faye; husband Alfred Geiger, sons Brett and Jeff Holman; and her grandchild Chris Cottrell. She leaves behind her children Richard Holman of Colorado Springs, CO, Gordon (Debra) Holman of Longmont, CO; Robin (Jim) Cottrell of Castle Rock, CO. Her grand-children: Daisy Henckle of Park City, MT; Jason Anglin of Colorado Springs, CO; Jeremy Holman of Colorado Springs, CO; Clinton Holman of Las Vegas, NV; James Holman of Longmont, CO; Heather McLawrence of Longmont, CO; Christopher Johnson of Castle Rock, CO; Jimmy Cottrell of Castle Rock, CO. Her Great Grand Children, Mathew Anglin of Colorado Springs, CO; Riley and Emily Henckle of Park City, MT; Dominic, Brooklynn McLawrence and Beckham Tarr of Longmont, CO. She leaves behind a trove of family and friends, including her surviving siblings, Charlie, Burley, Earl, Dollie, Velma, and Joyce.
