Edward R Ehrhardt, Jr of Hampton Township died July 25, 2018. He was born on April 17, 1952 in Pittsburgh. He is survived by his wife Celeste and children Brandon and Amanda. He was the son of Edward R. Ehrhardt, Sr and Caroline Ehrhardt. He graduated from North Allegheny High School and Grove City College and the Duquesne University School of Law. He was employed as an insurance adjuster, then worked for PHICO and Shadyside Hospital as a risk manager and hospital counsel. He worked for UPMC and was currently employed by the Mon Valley Unemployed Committee, where he enjoyed representing plaintiffs in their hearings pro bono. He was an active member of Parkwood Presbyterian Church and on the board of the Bread of Life Food Pantry. He was dedicated to many mission projects.
He was a lover of music, especially blues, an avid reader of nonfiction and mysteries, and a sports enthusiast, particularly baseball. He was a loving father, a caring husband, and a loyal friend who loved to help anyone he could.
He will be buried in Homewood Cemetery on July 27 and a funeral service will be held at Parkwood Presbyterian Church, 4289 Mount Royal Blvd, Allison Park, on Saturday, July 28, at 11:00 with visitation with the family at 9:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent to the Bread of Life Food Pantry or Parkwood Presbyterian. Arrangements entrusted to the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Inc., 1014 California Ave., Avalon.
