Malcolm was born on April 24th, 1953 in Hindley, Greater Manchester, England to Clifford and Betty Watmough. He attended Hindley and Abram Grammar School and went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Engineering Production from the City & Guilds of London Institute.
In 1979, Malcolm immigrated to the U.S., and in 1985 he became a naturalized citizen. He married in May of 1984 and in December of 1987 welcomed a daughter. He achieved many career milestones rising to President of the GDS Division at Draeger Safety Inc.
In January of 2016 he retired after 20 years with the company. Malcolm’s favorite pastime was sailing. He received his sailing certification from the American Sailing Association in 2014.
Malcolm Watmough leaves behind his loving wife of 34 years, Boey Khiow (Charlotte) Watmough; daughter Hannah Watmough, son-in-law Joseph Hamarich, and grandson Andrew Hamarich; his brother, David Watmough and sister-in-law Barbara Watmough; and a host of cousins, nieces, family, and friends.
Malcolm was an intelligent, kind, and remarkable brother, husband, father, grandfather, colleague, and friend. He will be forever remembered by those who were fortunate enough to know him.
