Zora Joan Zingg (Zirckel), age 90 of Dayton, passed away Sat, July 14, 2018 at Oak Creek Terrace. Zora was born in Toledo, OH where she grew up and married her high school sweetheart. They moved to Dayton in 1950 where they raised three children.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Zingg, in 2010 and is survived by her children: Jack (Jo) Zingg of AZ, Tom (Virginia) Zingg of OR, and Jennifer (Geary) Biggs of Dayton. Seven grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive her.
Zora was a homemaker and enjoyed being active in the lives of her children. She served as Cub Scout Den Mother and officer in the school PTA. She later became an accomplished watercolor painter. Legally blind at age 52, she transitioned her art from watercolor to pottery. She enjoyed years of pottery classes at Sinclair Community College as a Senior student. Zora was a member of the Society of Painters and Sculptors and Community UM Church.
