Services for Loyce Juan Howard Lewellyn, 90, are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at the Wallace United Methodist Church with Pastor Mark Young officiating. Interment will be in the High Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to service.
Loyce passed away July 28, 2018, in Canton, Texas.
He was born October 16, 1927, in Canton, Texas, to John Howard Lewellyn and Lila Mae Jacobs.
Loyce served in the US Army, Army Air Force and the US Navy. He was a boiler maker for many years before retiring. He was a member of Wallace United Methodist Church, the Odd Fellows and the VFW. Loyce enjoyed watching TV, especially "shoot'em ups," CB radios, and Ham radios. He, also, loved old country music and to tinker with things.
Loyce is survived by his wife, Madeline Diane Lewellyn of Edgewood, daughter, Celesta and David Shinn of Canton, daughter Becky Lewellyn, of Canton, son, Loyce Edwin and Lisa Lewellyn of Edgewood, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Jacob and JoNell Lewellyn of Athens, Texas and sister, Betty Jo Barringer of Spring, Texas.
Loyce is preceded in death by his parents, 1st wife, Wanda, daughter, Rayna Lewellyn, brothers, John Robert Lewellyn, William Lewellyn and Joseph Kirby Lewellyn, and sister, Lila Beth Tennyson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Colorectal Cancer Alliance, 1025 Vermont Ave., NW 1066, Washington, DC 20005.
