Keado, Linda Woodworth, 79, of Dallas, Texas went home to be with her Heavenly Father on August 1, 2018. She was born on September 30, 1938 in Troy, New York to Dr. Lemuel and Maud Woodworth. She graduated from Brown University in 1960 where she majored in political science. She earned masters’ degrees in both education and library sciences. Linda taught high school social studies and was also a school librarian. She married Conrad Keado on July 9, 1966. They moved to Dallas and raised their three daughters. Linda was kind and very intelligent. She and her husband traveled the world, but her happiest times were at their house on Cape Cod with her family and friends. She enjoyed playing tennis at the Northwood Club for 30 years. Linda had a servant’s heart which led her to volunteer as a tutor and mentor at Stults Road Elementary School. She was a long time member of the Episcopal Church of the Ascension where she also volunteered extensively. A compassionate and caring person, she was a Stephen Minister for 12 years helping those who are going through difficult times. Not one to utter a disparaging word about others, she was fiercely loyal and could always be counted on to help. Anything that was said to her in confidence stayed that way. She quietly and anonymously supported charities that assisted the less fortunate. She is survived by her daughters: Kristen Lackner (Randy), Liz Culley (Brad) and Allison Vega (Adrian) and her three grandchildren Avery Lackner and Kayman and Chance Culley and several nieces and nephews; her brother Don Woodworth (Barbara) of Chatham, MA and her sisters-in-law Marion Woodworth of Troy, N.Y. and Shirley Waterman of Clifton Park N.Y. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Conrad Keado, by her parents Lemuel and Maud Woodworth, her brother David Woodworth, and her sister-in-law Kerry Woodworth. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Episcopal Church of the Ascension or Stults Road Elementary School Library 8700 Stults Rd. Dallas 75243. A memorial service for Linda will be held on Monday, August 6 at 11am at the Episcopal Church of the Ascension 8787 Greenville Ave. Dallas, TX 75243.
