Paul was born in Washington D.C. He graduated from Landon School in Bethesda, MD in 1967 and received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts Degrees from Duke University in 1971 and 1973, respectively. Paul enjoyed a career in custom software development during which time he built and ran his own firm, Triton Systems.
Paul was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin P. Elliott.
He is survived by his wife Barbara of 45 years, his mother Mary D. Elliott of Gaithersburg, MD, sister Sara Wiesbock and husband Karl (deceased) of East Sandwich, MA, daughter Anne Brayton and husband Andrew of Melrose, MA, son Mark Elliott and wife Kelley of Atlanta, GA, and grandchildren Allison, Morgan, Andrew and Benjamin.
Paul was passionate about his church home, St. Michael's Episcopal Church. He was active in many ministries including choir and Education for Ministry (EfM). Paul supported the church in many ways including volunteering for various roles such as chalice bearer, crucifer and lay reader.
A funeral service followed by a reception will be held on Monday, August 6th at 2:00PM at St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 1520 Canterbury Rd, Raleigh, NC 27608.
