Frank “Tony” A. Brunsky, 66, passed away Friday, August 3, 2018 at his home in Kansas City, Kansas. Services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, August 11th at the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street in Kansas City, Kansas. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, August 10th at the funeral home. The family requests that any contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
Tony was born September 21, 1951 in Kansas City Kansas, of which he often spoke about being the Year of The Flood. As a lifelong resident, he was raised in Kansas City, Kanas as well, graduating from Wyandotte High School in 1967. After graduation, Tony went to work for the State Highway Department, eventually becoming the Supervisor for Road Maintenance. He eventually left the Highway Department, and went to work as a Machinist for The Kansas City Star, which he did for 23 years until his recent retirement.
He will be remembered for his sense of humor, and the little jokes he liked to play on people. Tony enjoyed collecting eagles, and spending as much time as he could with his grandchildren. Tony was especially fond of his Classic 1949 Chevy Fleetline, which he took to many car shows, and was often seen cruising in or tinkering on.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George I. Brunsky and Lorene (Benton) Brunsky.
Left to mourn his passing is his wife of 45 Years, Pauline Brunsky; 2 children, Larry Brunsky and his wife Laura, and Karen Brunsky; 2 grandchildren, Lauren Brunsky and Ivan Brunsky; his brother, George Michael Brunsky; and his sister, Laurie Brunsky.
