Sgt. Johnathan Mark Haywood, 24, of Van Buren, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2018 in El Paso, TX. He was born October 19, 1993 in Fort Smith. He was a tank mechanic serving in the U.S. Army, Company H, 123 Brigade Support Battalion, 3 BCT at Fort Bliss, TX. He was preceded in death by a grandmother, Patsy Haywood.
He is survived by his wife, Amanda Haywood of El Paso; his parents, Mark and Beccy Haywood of Van Buren; two brothers, Matthew Haywood of Alma, and Christopher Haywood of Van Buren; a sister, Stephanie Teague of Booneville; grandparents, Bob Haywood of Van Buren, and Stephen and Shirley Ragazzo of Van Buren; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Butterfield Assembly of God with interment to follow at the Fort Smith National Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 13, 2018, at Butterfield Assembly of God, 1302 North 30th, Van Buren, AR.
