He was born on May 16, 1945 in Salinas, CA. He was adopted into the loving family of Orlin and Helen Border. The family resided in Boise, ID.
Early in the 1970’s Jim started his own company, JOB Plumbing. His business was very successful and allowed him to raise and care for his family comfortably. He was a loving and devoted family man and was always there to help his family and friends when needed.
Jim loved to go to the Eagles Club and go dancing and enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Camping, mechanics and tinkering around his shop were just some of the things he did in his spare time. He loved to collect and fix up just about anything he could get his hands on.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents Orlin and Helen. He is survived by his sister Kathy Kline of Smithfield, VA and his nephew Eric Kline of Newton Falls, OH. His children Kevin Border of New Plymouth, ID; Janet Border of Meridian, ID; Robert Nading of Mountain Home, ID; Tammy of Maryland; and Kim Border of Meridian, ID. Additionally, Jim was blessed with 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

A graveside service will be held at 12 pm (noon), Friday, Aug. 10th at Cloverdale Memorial Park, Boise.
