Mary A. Hale (82) of Shelby died Saturday, August 11, 2018 at her home. She was born March 22, 1936 in Olean, NY to the late Melvin and Jane Etta (Lott) Whitcher Turner. Mrs. Hale worked at Holthouse Farms and enjoyed reading, puzzle books, playing bingo and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Hale is survived by her daughters: Diana (Tom) Oney of Plymouth, Rita (Bernie) Gayheart of Shelby and Paula (Leo) Brousseau of Greenwich, 2 sons: Matthew Hale and Melvin (Teresa) Hale of Greenwich, 22 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, 2 half-brothers: Gene (Vicki) Turner of Elyria and Joe Turner of Florida, sister: Lucy Takacs of Elyria. She was preceded in death by her husband: Joe Hale, 3 sons: Alan, Rodney, Robert Hale, daughter: Rose Mary, grandson: Thomas Scott Oney, great grandson: Daytona Matthew Hale, father: Melvin Whitcher, stepfather: Eugene Turner, mother: Jane Etta (Lott) Turner, Brother: Melvin Whitcher Jr., and stepbrothers: David Turner and Walter Turner.
Friends may call Wednesday, August 15, 2018 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Lindsey Kocher Funeral Service, 323 Myrtle Ave, Willard, Ohio 44890 with services being held at 1:00 PM with Pastor Delmer Bailey officiating.
