Julia D. Jones, 76, a resident of the Pearland and Beaumont areas, passed away on Saturday August 18, 2018 in Beaumont. Julia was born on January 1, 1942 in Beaumont, Texas to her parents Frank and Winnie Kovar Duncan who preceded her in death.
She was a Christian who attended the Growing in Christ’s Image Church of Sour Lake. She was a retired Histologist having worked for hospitals in Beaumont, Galveston, and mainly the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
Julia enjoyed painting, sewing, embroidering, making dolls, pillows, baby blankets, gardening, reading and most of all was an outstanding artist. She loved being at family gatherings which include the company of her loyal companion, her dog Lulu.
Julia is survived by her loving family, daughter; Paula Boudreaux and husband Tony Guzman, brother; Neal Duncan and wife Pat, seven grandchildren; Nick Boudreaux and wife Danielle, Zach Boudreaux and wife Kara, Joseph Guzman and wife Alyssa, Eli Guzman, Evan Guzman, Frank Guzman, Melissa Navarro, and eight great grandchildren.
Visitation and a sharing of remembrances reception meal will begin on Tuesday August 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel and the funeral home hospitality room.
A Celebration of Life graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
