Visitation will be from 5 pm to 8 pm on Tuesday, September 04, 2018 with Rosary being said by the family at 6pm in the Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 East Interstate 40. Funeral Services will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, September 05, 2018 in the Chapel of Memories. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
George was born on July 29, 1947 in Laredo, Texas. He was a hardworking man raised in Roaring Springs, TX where he would work the fields alongside his siblings until 1966. At the age of 19, he moved on to Amarillo where he would work for companies like Amarillo Linen, Southwest Offset and eventually Affiliated Foods, Inc. where he retired after 21 years. He will be remembered as someone who loved to play the slot machines in Clinton, Oklahoma, shop estate sales, laugh, listen to good music, dance and create memories with family and friends. Above all though, he will be remembered for the love and adoration he had for his wife, Elisa, of 46 years. He will be missed by all.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Sixto and Teodora Castillo; twin brother, Jose; and two brothers-in-law: Joe Rodriguez and Mario Rodriguez. George is survived by his wife, Elisa Castillo and his brothers Sixto Castillo and wife Carmela; Juan Castillo and wife Gloria; and sister Dora Castillo Martinez. He additionally leaves behind four sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law: Angela Brown, Rebecca Arriaga, Belen Montoya, Eva Ray, Raul Rodriguez, “Fito” Rodriguez, Johnny Rodriguez and numerous loving nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
