Brian Harper Booth passed away peacefully at home in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, in his sleep early on the morning of Friday, September 7, 2018. He was born in Greenwood, Mississippi, on December 3, 1974, along with his twin sister, Katie.
Brian was a life-long sufferer from Cerebral Palsy, induced at birth. His family was blessed by his presence and the ability to provide his care for his entire life.
He was a member of Vestavia Hills Baptist Church and touched the lives of many people everywhere the family lived. He attended schools in Oxford, Mississippi, Concord, North Carolina, and Vestavia Hills, where he completed his education. The severity of his disability did not allow him to speak, but his countenance and wonderful dimpled smile let anyone in his presence know how appreciative he was of them and their presence in his life.
Brian is survived by his parents, Julia and Bob Booth of Vestavia Hills; his twin sister, Katie B. Whittington (Harlan) of Newnan, Georgia; brothers, Brad Booth (Jennifer) and Ben Booth, both of Hoover, Alabama; nephews, Andrew Schurig and Matthew Schurig of Newnan, Jake Booth, Alex Booth, Jack Booth, and Eli Booth; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Brian was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Hugh and Lois Hall, and paternal grandparents, Elmo and Kitty Booth.
A graveside service will be Monday, September 10, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Southern Heritage Cemetery, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124. The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. with a memorial service following at 2 p.m. at Vestavia Hills Baptist Church. 2600 Vestavia Drive, Birmingham, Alabama.
