Mary was born on December 23, 1926, the daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Shuflata) Borodenko. In 1948, she married the late Lucian Lambert, and together they had 36 wonderful years before his passing in 1984.
After high school in 1944, Mary worked as a secretary/office manager for the Goodfellow-Ashmore Agency in Danbury, before retiring after almost 50 years. Following her retirement, Mary spent time traveling with her sister Catherine and volunteering for several organizations. She was a great cook, enjoyed meeting friends for lunch, and taking occasional bus trips. She spent quiet time reading books from some of her favorite authors.
Mary was predeceased by her siblings Catherine Borodenko, Florence Borodenko Tyrell, and Frank Borodenko. She is survived by her sister-in-law Judy Borodenko of South Bend, IN, nephews Frank Borodenko, Terry Tyrell, Gary Bachyrycz, and niece Anna Borodenko Delganes, several great nieces and nephews, and one great great niece.

A graveside service will take place on Tuesday September 11 at 1:30pm in Saint Peter Cemetery, Section 4, Danbury.
The Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury is in charge of arrangements.
