Diane Adams VanLandingham

Diane Adams VanLandingham, 73, of Mechanicsville, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 7, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband of 14 years, Ralph K. VanLandingham; parents, Willie R. and Pattie R. Adams; brother, Stewart M. Adams; and son-in-law, R. Troy Parrish. Diane was a nurse practitioner and worked in the medical field for over 50 years. She earned her master's degree in nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University and was a big fan of their basketball program. She was an active member of Smithland Baptist Church in Heathsville as well as a member of the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners. Left to cherish her memory are her children, David G. Ellis (Kristin) and Missy A. Parrish; grandchildren, Conner, Lindsey, Trinity and Madison; sisters, Judy A. Rollins (Ed) and Susan L. Adams; and stepchildren, Natalie Twiford (Larry), Kent VanLandingham (Lee Anne) and Mary Jac Camp (George). The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 12, at Woody Funeral Home-Atlee Chapel, 9271 Shady Grove Rd., Mechanicsville, Va. 23116, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday. Interment will follow at 3 p.m. in Smithland Baptist Church Cemetery, 1047 Walnut Point Rd., Heathsville, Va. 22473.
