She was 95 years old preceded in death by 3 brothers, 1 sister, and her husband, Paul D. Copenhaver.
She was raised in Malakoff, Texas. The family moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma in the early 40’s. This is where she met and married the love of her life, Paul Copenhaver. Soon after, they moved to Fort Worth, Texas and then purchased their land In Colleyville in 1953. Hope worked at Buddies in historic North Richland Hills Plaza, and Paul worked at Convair ( Lockheed/Martin). They built the family home while raising their family and working full time. Hope then worked at Dahlgren Manufacturing for nearly 20 years as a blueprint copier for engineering.
Hope loved feeding people and is known for her Mexican cooking. She was a much loved and respected mother, grandmother and great grandmother who was always quick with a hug and a compliment who will be missed by many.
She is survived by her four children: Cecilia Spiva, Rose Roberson and husband Duane, Paul Copenhaver and wife Sherry, James Copenhaver. Seven grandchildren and 14 great grand children.
All services will be held at Bluebonnet Hills in Colleyville. Memorial service is Saturday September 15th at 3pm. with interment to follow. Viewing is Friday September 14th from 6-8pm.
