Braden Alois Wleczyk, 15, of Victoria Texas passed away September 12th 2018. He was born on June 24th 2003, the son of Tina and Darren Wleczyk. He is survived by his parents, Darren & Tina Wleczyk; his younger brother, Caleb Wleczyk; his older sister, Shelby Upton; His “MeMe” & “PawPaw”, Barbara & Butch Stolarsky; his “Nana” & “Pops”, Lorinda & Duane Beal; his “Pawdaddy”, Chuck Wleczyk & Rita Cortez; his “Great-Granny B”, Nancy Beal; his Aunt Gretchen & Uncle Brad Wleczyk, along with his cousins – Emma, Will, Addy & Elly Wleczyk; his Aunt Lori & Uncle Michael Gonzales, along with his cousins – Michael, Jr., Justin, & Leann Gonzales. He is also survived by countless extended family and friends that love him very much.
Braden was an amazing young man. He spent his 15 years of life inspiring others. He was a great role model to his younger brother, Caleb and he was an excellent student, a great athlete, and a very likeable young man. With his seemingly endless positive traits, he had the potential to be anything. He was an accomplished marksman, enjoyed hunting with his Dad (as long as he could get in the blind, shoot it, clean it, and have it tagged and in the cooler in 30 minutes or less). He loved to fish, was a student of life, enjoyed cross country road trips with the family, and working out. He was dedicated to clean eating, meal prepping and setting personal goals. It was part of who he was, self-motivated to be the best he could be. His passions also included Legos and “DC and Marvel” comics. Although he was only in the 10th grade he was already taking college courses. He loved to read, and as many of his teachers have said, “he has read every book in the library.” His drive for success was impressive to all. His recent pride was the purchase of his new truck. He was a self-proclaimed good driver (if you consider STOP signs a suggestion)!! Braden had a magnetic personality that warmed a room. Although he occasionally could be the typical “little brother”, Shelby considered him a true gift. If you were his family or friend, he would give you anything (except the front seat to Caleb!) The Wleczyk’s never saw a body of water they couldn’t fish, land they couldn’t hunt, grounds they wouldn’t camp, a game they wouldn’t play or a face they didn’t welcome. Braden took part in each adventure and seemed to embrace all of life’s gifts and challenges. The world was given the privilege of his life for 15 years and what a true privilege it was.
“Imagine a world where everybody is successful. No lessons would be learned and stories are less exciting. Failure is an opportunity to become better at what you attempt and to evolve as a person.” -Braden W.
Although we are grieving his loss please share with us in celebrating his life. A Memorial service will be held Monday September 17th 2018 at 2pm at Parkway Church in Victoria.
In lieu of flowers, save your money for a new shot gun – he would have wanted that.
